Black Dog Plant Mystery
The local Black Dog Plant is an interesting but mysterious power plant. Why did they build it out in a swamp? What are the strange noises coming from it during the night? What is Black Dog Plant’s relationship to Area 51 and the Roswell incident? And, why is it trying to keep Dr. Vogt out with roads closed or flooding each time we plan our visit? There’s only one way to find out for sure. Come with us for a day-long look inside the plant to see how the modern coal-fired plant works to make electricity for our community. Be prepared to walk some, as this plant is big and lots of cool stuff to learn about. Plan to create our own STEM Adventure Club Video – Secrets of Black Dog Plant episode. Students should notify next-of-kin before signing up.
